Nicole Cote, Esq.


Nicole conducts investigations involving student, employee, and workplace matters. Drawing on her background in education law, employment litigation, and public interest advocacy, she approaches each investigation with fairness, thoroughness, and a trauma-informed perspective.

Nicole also serves as a guardian ad litem in Ohio, where she has gained experience independently investigating cases involving abuse, neglect, and dependency and advocates for children's best interests. Her experience evaluating complex facts, interviewing individuals in sensitive situations, and preparing objective recommendations informs her investigative work.

Before starting her current role at Abdnour Weiker, Nicole was a Staff Attorney at Lakeshore Legal Aid, representing clients in family law, housing, education, and civil litigation. Earlier in her career, she launched an innovative legal program through the Ohio Access to Justice Foundation serving consensual sex workers and survivors of human trafficking.

Nicole is committed to conducting impartial, thorough investigations that help organizations navigate sensitive matters with integrity and confidence. Outside of work, she enjoys baking with her sourdough starter, Jane Dough, training for road races, and spending time with her fiancé and their dog, Clementine.
